How The Greatest Pakistani Cricket Fans Celebrated The Victory

    We’ve said this before and we’ll say it again and again and again and again:

    Kashmir and Cricket is an infectious love story

    If anyone had an iota of doubt in this statement, yesterday’s celebrations after Pakistan’s victory would’ve cleared them all. The deafening screams and sounds of firecrackers felt like music to the ears.

    It was due to sheer dint of talent from not just an unpredictable Pakistan side, but a new one too. However unexposed or raw these young lads might seem, they have kept the legacy of Imrans, Waqars and Wasims with them. They’ve been calm and composed all throughout.

    Kashmiris deserved a much-needed relief from all the painful happenings around; and what better time to bring it than just a week before Eid and what better way to bring it than your favourite team winning the Champions Trophy.

    While Kashmiri Twitter is always an interesting place to be around; on match days, it is simply a treat.
    Twitteratis from Kashmir started using hashtag #Pend as in to symbolise Waan-pend or Darbar-pend where major gossips happen.

    Soon after the match, many Indians started tweeting somewhat rhetoric about their defeat. One such tweet was from AIB star Tanmay Bhat, and he got totally owned by a response from Kashmir.

    So much so that, Tanmay had to admit:

    Owned, twice!

    Another example is from Gautam Gambhir who wanted to send Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to Pakistan for his tweet, again, he got owned.
